Well personally I did not like LSZ. I thought that, to begin with, it was too reminiscent of LS3. The game did get interesting towards the end though. I liked how Lance shouted back thingyy remarks to the bounty hunter in the duel and how you had to knock the sword out of his hands instead of just the average health bar. I do have one more thing to ask about....why does Lance know Shotan? Shotan is a very secretive character and doesn't really mix with others. And your map design also needs quite a lot of work. I'm sorry to differ from everyone else but this is my honest opinion.

I'll list the errors that I found. People will have already said them, but I don't care. My final score is at the bottom. Please take this as constructive criticism:
Problems and Errors = - Water in Forest Chipset can be walked over - Various Spelling and Grammatical errors - Title showing is far too long, and bland
Graphics: 8/10 - Nice original, and some well created maps
Sound - 9/10 - Especially liked the battle music, and boss music, and the sound was well placed in most places.
Gameplay - 8/10 - Default Battle system never did harm a game. Very fast flowing, and the duels were well made.
Lifespan - 6/10 I was able to complete it quickly, but there was plenty of incentive to bring me back a couple more times.
Overall - 8/10 - Good demo, and is coming on very nicely. A few adjustments here and there will make it one of the finest games related to the Legion Saga series.

I deliver an honest opinion with possibel improvements. It needs work. There are a lot of niggles that need ironing out, and if I were you, I would continue to work on this demo, so you don't continue any bad habits when working on the rest of the game. Here goes, - Firstly, the graphics. This needs some serious improvement. Make the areas smaller and add more detail (as people have said before). At the moment it's just big and bland. Also, have a look at the forest you made for example. The forest is presented in a linear way, with just a square path to follow. If you added more detail, instead of just putting the trees in straight lines, it would be better. - The dialogue needs work. Some of it just doesn't 'seem right', like the two charecters talking about the swords. That bit of dialogue just appears out of nowhere for no reason. Also, the part where Cyrus appears before the duel, Lance asks him "Who are you?", and Cyrus replies, "I am Cyrus. I am an assassin." That is just out of charecter for an assassin, and isn't something you'd hear someone say to someone who they are about to kill. A reply from Cyrus along the lines of; "That's not your concern, prepare to die!" and then have a short bit of dialgoue during the duel to bring out more of the charecter. It's just stuff like that, and in places the dialogue is hard to follow and could be written much better. There are also quite a few spelling mistakes and a few instances where sentences are chopped off. This is inexcusable, even for a demo (did the beta testers actually do anything?) - Next, it's the pace of the charecter. People have said this before, and Im sorry for repeating it, but change it. It's a feature that people aren't happy with, and ultimatly the am of making a game is to make as enjoyable for a person to play as possible. If people don't lik the speed of the charecter, you shoudl take note of it and change it. If a person downloads your game and plays the first 5 minutes in this current slow mode, they aren't gonna wait until they find the Godspeed Orb, they're just gonna not play the game if they don't find it enjoyable. It is an irritant, and if lots of people are complaining about it, then it shows a flaw in the game that needs to be adressed. - Also in places the RM2K coding just seems to be a bit sloppy. Like, when the waitress walks off to get some drinks at the pub, she walks for a bit, then stands in the the screen for a while before walking back. Another instance is when Lance and co are talking to Queen Fralina for the 2nd time, and the text box covers her up, whilst leaving a lot of barren flooring visable at the bottom of the screen. There are other instances of this, which just make the game seem a bit sloppy and dare I say it... rushed. Just touch up aspects like this and the game will seem a lot slicker and much better executed. - Also, you need to explain how Lance knows two of the LS series biggest enigmas :- Sazaku and Shotan. Showing some sort of history between them would be much better (a simple bit of text like "Gosh Shotan, I haven;t seen you since we looted that treasure 2 years ago!" ( lame example, but you get the point)). - The beginning was almost identical to that of LS3. However props for the duel. It was much harder to predict than any duel in the other LS games, and having the two charecters converse was a good touch. That was the best aspect of the game. Plz, don't think I am just bashing your game out and out, because I have offered at lot of constructive criricism here. I just think this game has got a long way to go before it reaches it's potential. Because it does need work. I know you say "it;s only a demo", but even so, this demo could be so much better, and doesn't give the impression that the full version will be anything above average. Work on the demo is my advice, and release an improved version of it before working on the rest of game, so you don't carry any bad habits into the remainder of the game. Sorry about the long post. snAP`

Snap, whats your email? I want to add you to my list on msn.
Anyways,I liked the demo. The duel was exellent and the battle animations were fairly good. Personally I think the only reason Sazaku and Shotan were there was to make all the people who love those two happy. Afcourse their my favourite characters but they seemed a touch out of character.
I give the demo 3.5/5
P.S. Snap I want you to be a beta tester for my Demo so contact asap.

Aaaaaaargh, the SOUND, the SOUND!!! It PAINS MEH!!!
BMZ used Princess Yoyo's theme from Bahamut Lagoon, which is a GREAT piece, for Nadia's chamber and it played for...for...like, FIVE SECONDS! This must improve! It must! *puppy-eyed look*

This must improve! It must! *puppy-eyed look* Yeah, I agree! And secretly I wanted to see what else they did J/k. MINOR SPOILERS BELOWAnywayyyy, it seems alright, some of the maps do need work but they can be easily improved upon. It felt kind of weird that an assassin would try to kill Lance during the middle of the day and with as much stealth then a monkey on crack, though. Maybe you should work up on his introduction. Most assassins wouldn't tell you who hired them or anything like that too, they're secretive about their work.

Well I find it strange that my 7 year old brother beat the duel his first time by just using Gaurd.

..That's not that strange at all...in fact, it's one of the smartest ways to do the duel, even if it's a bit dull.
You see, if Cyrus uses Guard, then nothing happens. And if he uses Rage, then he'll miss the attack, and Lance will attack with out any counter from Cyrus. So if you useGuard, the only time Cyrus will ever hit you, is if he attacks, and that rarely happened to me..he usually Raged..
So, your brother may be very smart..or just lucky..

Well...I personally liked the demo, BMZ. I too, thought that the maps were a bit large...at first...I couldn't tell that the door-ways to Lance and whatsisface's room was a door-way...add a wall going down from the ceiling tile to make it look better. Also, Snap, I also want your e-mail and want to add you...I would also like you to beta test my game as well...

Impressive post, snAP. I suggest you take his advice, BMZ. He's put fowards (as well as others) good points and they are well worth improving in your game.
I suggest you make it possible to get the Godspeed orb early on BMZ. Make there be one which can be found very early on. (But make it through a puzzle or well hidden or something)

Okay, why does all the best and worst critism show up when I leave? - I keep saying I was never good at maps, and I will work on the castle and forest - those bugs are minor, but I will iron them out - the parts where the dialog got cut off or seemed dry will be fixed. Bear in mind that the swords will be important later on, so it's best to learn about them as soon as I could but some info in about them - the begining could be charged a bit, like having a couple of mystery scenes, but the overall opening will be the same - Sazaku and Shotan are my favorites, and I do realized they are a touch out of character. I'll fix up their dialog a bit. Shotan seemed a bit too polite to Lance in the fight, and Sazaku was a little too talkative. - Lance just knows who SHotan is from the Cardico game. He actually met Sazaku...you'll find out in the full version - Godspeed Orb. Guess what? It was added not too long from where the demo cut off. Remember, this is my first serious attempt at a game. I have a couple of crappy fan games under my belt, but my skills just aren't up to par with the big guys like Inq, Psy such.
