]This game has been seriously high priced, because of its proud 10/10 rating from almost every games magazine. Now its hit platinum, dropping the price 25 quid. With this new price, more people will be able to afford it, so i thought id do a reveiw on it.
Graphics : 9/10
The bee's knee's. Brilliant. Everything is sharp and clear. You will be able to see every bullet wizzing past you, and you will see the effects bullets have on water and sand. The characters move their lips in time to their voice, and they dont reveal see-through bits in their mouth when they talk, unlike some other games. The guns look brilliant too. Just take the Springfeild Sniper Rifle. It looks so solid and real, and when fired, you will actually see Patersons hand thingying it back. Generally, if you moan about the graphics, then just dont play games.
Gameplay : 9/10
EA have captured the feel of World War 2 perfectly in this game. The enemies AI is almost perfect. Just like real soldiers, they will take cover, attack in groups, and try to surround you. If you throw a grenade at a soldier firing at you, they will either 1) Panic and run away, 2) Throw it back to you or 3)Throw or kick it away. If you are near oil barrels, they will fire on the barrels to make them explode. These (and many more) features of the AI make the game incredibly fun to play, because you know that you dont have mindless idiots trying to kill you or tagging along with you.
Health packs are here too. While they are common, they are not so common that the game is impossible to lose in. The same goes with bullets. Ive given gameplay a 9 because of the awkward controls. They feel too sensitive, and with no sensitivity changer, its annoying.
Sound : 9/10
HEAR the enemys bullets whizz past you. HARK the enemys screaming for help. I CANT THINK OF ANOTHER WORD FOR HEAR. SEE the score and accept that the music is brilliant and suits the situation and the sound effects sound brilliant.
Overall : 9.5 /10
Recomended Course of Action : Buy this game. Your ps2 game collection wont be complete without it.
