Hello,And this is my reveiw of King of Fighter's EX: The Howling Blood. First of all I'd like to state that if you were a KOF fan who hated this, Or Neoblood was your first KOF, You should buy this, It has everything that Neoblood failed to offer.
Graphics:
The Graphics used in this game aren't KOF 2002 qaulity but still very good for a GBA game. The Sprites are mainly the same resolution as they were in KOF EX:Neoblood, But one Big improvement is that they've changed the backgrounds, The Neoblood backgrounds had bad resolution and interupted you from playing the game, These Backgrounds however are taken directly out of KOF 2000 and are almost top-notch quality. The Character select menus are also a big update...,Yeah they look pretty close to the ones used in 2001(Which by the way were awesome).
Gameplay:
This is the typical KOF gameplay. You have to beat up the character until you get there energy meters to 0 and K.O them, But not like Capcom games, It isn't all about performing special moves. But really it only has a few flaws in it,otherwise It could be called perfect.
Storyline:
Since I'm not someone who can read Japanese text that well, I can't really say anything about the storyline. But browsing acclaims site I have found out that some of the story is connected with a group kidnapping innocent children, during the King of Fighter's tournament.
Replay Value:
Is what this game has much of, As you get your rank higher and higher each time you complete the game, You unlock more secrets. As you get your rank up to Orochi you can even see some alternate endings if you try to mix members from diffrent teams together. Overall it depends on who you are,How much replay value this game well give.
Conclusion:
Overall a good game definitly worth it if your a KOF fan.
