Don't know if there's been a topic about this already. Probably has been but hey, what the hell?
I just finished watching the first disk and I am in love with it. Being a MMORPG junkie (Who unfortunately is too poor at the moment to play anything that costs cash) thought the setting was great. The music was excellent, I especially enjoyed the intro theme. The characters were interesting and they looked great as well. Unfortunately for me, disk 1 ends with a cliffhanger, and my friend doesn't have disk 2, nor do I have Kazaa right now.
I was wondering what you guys thought of it? Most of the people I've talked to found it boring unfortunately. I don't see how they could think that...

Meh, I'm gonna watch this eventually, but don't have any money right now. Also, I'm really into both X and RahXephon, so better finish those first. But I really want to know if this is good or not, especially cause the games (or at least the first one) are pretty good, albeit very short.

Well, I have still only seen the first five episodes, but so far, it's really good. The plot has me hooked and I need to go out and buy more...

//Sign is about a character named Tsukasa who for some reason can't log out after waking up and finding himself in front of a treasure chest in the bottom of a dungeon. He remembers opening the chest, but not what happened after. Also, according to the Crimson Guard (I haven't played the game, I don't know if they're in it.) he was seen a few days past with a character who hacked into the character database, and illegally changed his/her face to that of a cat's. The guard wants to ask him questions, but he runs. Soon after, he goes back, and reopens the chest, finding a tablet inside. Upon lifting the tablet a female voice speaks to him, telling him that as long as they walk together, he shall always be protected. As he is leaving the dungeon, th Silver Knight of the Crimson Guard sets up a barrier around the place, so that Tsukasa cannot use his sprite ocarina to escape, and trys to force answers out of him. Before the Knight kills Tsukasa, a strange monster that the Knight has never seen before (Which is odd considering he's connected to administration) appears. It's shaped like a floating gelatinous barbell with a ring in the center, and it shoots a tendril right through the Knight, petrifying his character, and apparently, knocking him out in real life.

I downloaded the first episode. The animation was great, but I was so incredibly bored.

The show is ok.... i dont like it a lot, but there are a few good episodes. I mainly play the games, i just recently beat //Infection i think you should at least rent it, believe me the second you start playing it you WILL be hooked. Oh and a little advice, once you get to the final boss make sure you are at least Lv. 35-40 and have Kite's best weapons (Hell's Gate, Dante's Blades) but even at that i got I disagree handed to me a few times O.o Anyway, yea the show is good but the games are better, which reminds me... (runs out to buy part 2)

Oh, anyway, the Crimson Knights are mentioned in the game by a few NPC's you can talk too..

Well, I bought the first DVD, and it is good. The story and animation and everything was excellent. The music was also great, though I didn't like the intro or ending themes as much as other animes. All in all, I really want to get the 2nd DVD ^_^

Well, I heard somewhere that the games and anime are part of a continuing story DMC. I think it was //Sign comes first, then the games, then another anime, but I can't remember for sure...

It's the conclusion of the story; very different mood from .Hack//SIGN. For a while it was just on fansub, but it's just been licensed so DVDs should be arriving in North America soon.
