There should have been an in-between option. While I think it is still in semi-tolerable levels it surely wasn't like this before.

One person versus many people = lose. Still. I want UNANIMITY!

it surely wasn't like this before. Some people might consider this a good thing or a bad thing. Personally I find the Town more fun right now than I have in the past few months. Probably because stuff actually HAPPENS, regardless of whether it's 'spammy' or not.

Well, the Poll proved the point that I was essentially making seems to have been proved. There are some areas which do need to be moderated (no comment), but on the whole we're a happier Town with our loosened and relaxed nature. I'd take a " " over an argument about the nature of posts in a thread any day of the week. Even at the weekend, when I have way too much free time on my hands.

Benos isn't spamming- He's being a moron.
All in what, five minutes? This guy has just been a complete jackass from the moment he registered- he didn't seem nearly as stupid when he just posted as a guest.
Spam? I haven't noticed any. An altered quote with an emoticon is a joke. Don't see why it would be considered spam. Must be that anything meant to be humorous and not educational or thought provoking in any way does not deserve to exist.
And yes, I've noticed that almost every joke I've made, relevant or nonrelevant, in the past week, has been removed from existance either individually or the thread has been deleted. I don't know who to blame for this but it's quite simple to make an assumption- Then again, assumptions don't get you anywhere.

There should have been an in-between option. While I think it is still in semi-tolerable levels it surely wasn't like this before. The point is, when given two choices, you can learn towards on or the other, and more often than not what is everyone leaning to?

No. Wait for me. This is getting out of control. Every thread that starts in a normal and civilised way ends up with stupid comments by some people who think spamming is the whole point of a forum. It's not. I'm so tired of this that I considered leaving but I made a promise to Jacket that i'll help with the reviews. The promised PM still never came thought. When I first got here (Invision) it was awesome. All the cool people, the big discussions and all. Now all the topics are like: New topic by Schbleh: Hi, i'm new. The Omen: Lol stfu pregnant dog The_Omen: lookie! I'm omen hahaha. The Omen: har har very funny. ------------------------------------------ Sorry I didn't mean to insult anyone there. I really hope you guys @ the palace could get the new forum running SOON so all this s%?t could stop. 'nuff said. -Xnay

If I remember correctly, which I do, when you first got here Xnay, you spammed too. But don't get me wrong, you've gotten MUCH better about it. We just need to find Benos and pregnant dog smack him into submission.

There is a flaw in this poll and that is that it is aimed at those who obviously don't see the current state of RPG Town as a problem. That is because the few members left at the Town are those who do not recognise that these forums no longer operate in their desired manner. Correct me if I am wrong, but RPG Town was originally designed to serve as a community for RPG Palace, a site dedicated to RPGs and RPG Making. The latter of the two is the reason I, and many others, joined in the first place - it was one of the few things these boards offer over any other RPG sites. Take a look at the Game Makers General, there are still topics on the first page which are months old. I used to consider that the crux of the boards but it is now stagnant. Members have left, that is clear to us all, most likely because the reason they came here in the first place no longer provides any stimulation. I myself only frequent this place because I am impatient with CM4 loading times. Take a good look at the posts on the boards, they are nothing that would be out of place in a themeless site or are links to sites that could be found by simply searching for "funny things" on Google. The RPG element has taken a back seat to general topics of little interest to me or others who want some sort of substance in the forums rather than regurgitated URLs most likely found posted on other forums.
Also, may I suggest trimming down the number of boards? For a forum that has some 20 active members there is only so much anyone can say about music, 3 different kinds of game genre and RPG Making. Since these boards are rarely used, combine Questions and Game Makers General, RPGs - Non RPGs and Online games into Commerical Games and drop Music and Debates so that there may actually be something worth reading in General. Perhaps they could make a return when the new forums are reintroduced.

I did not spam...I posted a lot. If we still had a backup of invision, you'd see that I made "smart" posts at least.
Omen: I am NOT exagerating.
Maxy: Great speech.

Good idea.. I'll speak to PaulC/M about it. Yes. Because it's not as though I haven't said that 5 or 6 times in the last two months.
