Who said I had to be reffering to something inside this topic, hmm? I got this from what I've seen happen here, not just in this thread. Majin Paul gets all huffy when people don't like what he likes and accuses them of "beign biased" or other reasons he pulls from his ass. I will lump your little dictatorship. I'm glad you freely admited it. There are better ways of doing things then going all Hitler on petty things like "flaming" and cussing. Maybe Moderators should *gasp* moderate things? Their supposed to step in when things get really hairy, like spam attacks. The only reason M Paul doesnt delete negative comments about him, is because he doesnt want that person to become a martyr. Oh, for the love of... We've already gone over why we delete flames here. This isn't the place to carry out arguments and personal attacks, it only disrupts the boards. If you don't like that, I'm sorry, really I am, but this isn't the place for that stuff. Paul has just responded very moderately to people who have called him a 'bastard' for no apparent reason - I'm really not seeing where you're getting this picture of him as a malevolent dictator, striking down those who disagree with him. Just as long as you're not rude, there aren't any problems - is it really THAT hard to act maturely?

Thank you, C. I appreciate you taking that over for me - Lord (who I don't beileve in) knows I would probably start getting upset myself. Now then, my e-mail address is MajinPaul@carolina.rr.com .. You can direct continuing negative messages there, but I would ask you to stop them here, now - Without a warning, even, just to show my hospitality. But if you don't like my administration, you can - and are recommended to - leave. Otherwise, get over it, and get used to it. I don't like violence, or anything negative, and so freedom of speech is limited here - To kindness. And a little maturity. If that's so hard, this isn't the board for you. There are other great forums that'll let you flame - or have freedom of speech, whichever you prefer to call it - to your heart's content.

You're at least reasonable enough to talk to PaulC. maybe I am nit picking, but boards are here for discussion, and from discussion comes arguments. Boards are the perfect place to have arguments, because no one gets hurt, and as oppsed to IM convos, you actually might be able to change someones mind. Maybe I was being rash, but I am very passionate about this crap.
Mpaul: I come here because I actually enjoy talking to some people who come here, not to obey the rules you have set up. I have a board that I goto that I like, this is just another interesting one.

I don't mind debating, really, if it's civil and doesn't include any harsh words/statement ... or comments about my mother or my sexuality. Perhaps my "biased" comment was taken out of context and I apologize - I didn't mean to say anyone who actually saw the movie was biased - I meant anyone who hasn't seen it and has been noted to say it sucked. Same with anyone who disses anything they haven't seen/used/whatever. You seem like a reasonable guy. I think we can work this out - Though you do need to work on your language a little

By the way, Paul?
When i insult you, it's in more of a non-hurtful way... don't take it too seriously, k?
Right.
And also, i think it's great the amount of freedom you're givin us here.

I've seen it yesterday, actually. I thought it was pretty boring. Not much action, bad acting, non-fit actors. I'd give that movie a 5/10. And seriously Paul, that movie wasn't even close to LOTR. LOTR was an amazing, incredible movie that deserves a 10/10. I like DND, but that is just not it.
EDIT: Sigh... look what happend because of a movie (and not a very good one). Arguing with M? I wouldn't recommend that, Gimdin. Not RPGT's. I think I see M as a teacher. As an... english teacher. A tough one.. a really... Bah, I'll shut up.

I think D&D The Movie is nearly on level with LOTR - I am a huge LOTR fan, I have read the books around 4 or 5 times. But I am also a huge D&D fan, I do D&D every thursday at a club, and I play lots of games with the D&D system - Which convinced me to see the film, and I was quite suprised. Despite all my friends saying it was bull-poo, I saw it anyway and have seen it again a few times since, and it's pretty good - I gave it an 8/10.
EDIT: That and I don't know the difference between bd and good acting. Oh, maybe I do because I knew Harry Potter was all poo

Just to clear it up, this was not about the stupid f'n movie (happy? I didnt curse! The world may have ended if I did! go me...) M Paul is quite easy to argue with, for many reasons I wont go into, to save from another useless "argument" (if thats what you want to call it. It was actually fairly boring) I really just have one thing to say: time will tell.

Gimdin7-who ever said that we had a freedom of speach here anyways but i think that MP lets us do anything that we want aslong as were nice about it. personaly i think a dictatorship is a good idea at discussion boards or every thing would be chaos. one last thing I dont think that people here are afraid of speaking up agianst MP iv done it before and he never banned me or flamed at me.
Ok theres my 2 cents for the day

Paters- I find your "he lets us do anything as long as we're nice about it" statement halarious. Nice by whos standards? What it sounds like your saying is that you tiptoe around trying not to piss MPaul off, for example ending an isult with "Just Kidding!". Not that I'm accepting this as fact, I think I follow your point.
Everyone has the right to free speech. Whoever tells you otherwise is quite comparible to a Nazi. What everyone here fails to see is that there is a difference between a dictatorship and having rules that are enforced by a fair administrator to suggest a better MB life for every one.
Paters, I'm not being condecending, but in the future could you possibly have some more punctuation? Its a wee bit difficult to sperate your thoughts.

(yes, Paters needs to learn how to type...I make fun of him every now and then about it)
Gimdin- Freedom of speech...if you put it that way, then half of the US would be facists. If we had freedom of speech everywhere, then a US soldier could talk about some top secret misson with the press. We would be able to talk back to teachers without getting in trouble. That's why theres rules...and if you don't follow them, you get punished.
Now I say one of the Paul's deletes/closes this before we get into a flame war.
