Layne had left the square and when to see how his house was. He lived in the under apartment of someone's house. It was really a pretty much basement. The owner was a very rich and very paranoid and protective person due to his wealth. The ceiling had a raud chain link frence just in case any pipes would break they wouldn't fall to the ground. Layne used it to hang things on. Aside from that there were many iron support pillars. There was only walls around the bathroom, so Layne hung blankets from pillar to pillar to make walls. There wasn't much damage and the owner was glad to see that Layne was alright. Layne dropped off his spread crossbow and decided to pick his regular one, since it was alot smaller and more accurate. He also picked up his old asoustic bass (not one of the upright ones). He carried it on his back and left the house making sure to lock the door this time.. adnd made his way back to the square.

Alex walked up to Rolin, the two kids beside him. They quickly ran off to find their parents, and Alex let them go. He instead noticed the woman who had just a moment ago been talking to Rolin. "Friend of yours?" he asked. "Care to explain this to me? I seem to be out of the loop."

Rolin turned to Alex. "I don't know her . . . " he began, "But we're all going to get to know her. She said that she's coming along when we get going. Frankly, I think that it's good that a creature like that would be with us, but still, last night . . . "
Rolin trailed off.
"I got attacked last night, and it was by a creature like them. I believe she called them, 'her dark breathren'. They seemed so alike . . . And I was able to use the flute again, but it wasn't purely by instinct like at the gate. I think that I'm beginning to understand what Serlon meant by 'a power beyond muscles and mind' . . . At first I thought that he meant emotions, but it wouldn't explain the second time that I used the flute while fighting that creature, so now, I don't know what to think."

Alex shrugged. "Well, whatever," he said. "Sounds intresting, so I'm in. Maybe she wants to join up with us to get closer to ya..." he smiled and nugged Rolin in the ribs.

Rolin smirked, and looked down. "I think that may be the case . . . But obviously not with those intentions." Rolin was able to crack a real smile, despite all of the things that were going on around him.
Rolin looked up to Alexander, and put his land hand on Alex's closest shoulder, gripping firmly, but playfully. "It's good to know that I'm not the only one that's knee-deep in this stuff. Besides, she was talking down to me, maybe you're the one that she's after."
Rolin chuckled, and started for the closest bench.

Layne spotted Alex and Rolin. he was a bit out of it. He sighed and said "What's up?.. what are we gonna do now?.."

Alex sat down beside Rolin and leaned back. "Seems like Rolin made a new friend," he told Layne. "She'll probably have a new destination in mind. That is, if you're in."

((OOC: Yo. I am a veteran to RPing, and I have read the RolePlaying rules fully for this forum..... but I was wondering if you'd allow me to step into this RP you've got going on here. It seems interesting, and I see potential. Also, I'd like to know how my character would fit into this. Would I be able to make him an outsider, due to the fact that you guys already have your team? Whatever works for you dude.))

Excuse me, I am sorry about that. I suppose this forum is dead then so I believe I will take my leave. Once again, my retardedness overweighs my incredible genius.

Apparently you're guilty of two counts of not reading the clearly posted dates of posts. The entire forum isn't dead, there just happens to be several threads from long ago that are still around, given members have only recently returned to this board.

Yes yes, I understand I forgot to look at the post date, but I suppose I presented my repl wrong. I didn't mean the RPG town forums as a whole, but the RPing forum doesnt look like it is getting much attention.

I am currently looking for players to run Dungeons and Dragons, if you're interested in roleplaying. So far, the definite aspects of the adventure will be that we are using 3.5 rules, and the campaign will be set in Faerun. Sessions will likely be once a week on Sunday afternoons until late evening (approximately 5 or 6 pm to 12 or 1 am, CST) and will be run in a chat room.
