The upgrade is the 1st icon on the bottom of the Stage Select Screen, right? Can't read the Japanese, so just making sure. And if so, Can you tell me what some of the things to buy does?

Oh yeah. There's stuff like: Spike Protectors (You can fall on spikes once and be okay. HIGHLY recommended!), extra lives, buster enchancers (ex. your gun charges faster, it charges automatically, etc.) CD finder equipement (Megaman only, helps find the CDs that talk about the robots of Megaman), dog upgrades (Bass gets the Treble Boost, Megaman gets the Rush Search, which helps with CDs)
Let me descibe both heroes:
Megaman Pros: Can charge his gun, can slide, doesn't have to stop to shoot his buster, can find buried CDs Cons: Can't aim, only jump once
Bass Pros: Rapid fire, dash, double jump, Treble Adapter Cons: Can't find CDs, must stop running to shoot his buster

You shoose one or the other at the beginning of the game. With Rockman, levels are a tad easier, but it's nigh impossible to beat most of the Robot Masters as Fotre in the beginning, because his buster is so freakign weak. I have that ROM, but I can't beat Dynamo Man, god dammit

I beat Coldman easily with Forte, but noone else so far.

Actually Bass has it easy compared to Megaman with most players including me...apparently that's not the case here!
You know what's a pain? It took me 2 days to get the last CD, which for me was Ground Man. It's the most common one to get last.

I can't beat Groundman's stage. I got to this part where the spikes move vertically, and you have to shoot the red statues.

Spike guards are key in that level.

I can only buy one though. When I try to buy more the guy yells at me in Japanese.

All you need is one and a bit of skill.

Which I severly lack ;D I could probably do it, just need to focus. It's hard playing on a keyboard sometimes.

I find a keyboard to be easier than a tiny little gameboy.

Playing Megaman on keyboard, that's hard.I think there is an english version of MegaMan&Bass somewhere,I went to Capcom site and saw the english title in GBA section,so there is surely a link to the rom somewhere.

There's a rom around, I'm sure. The game will available in store in spring, I believe.
