It's soon to be my birthday, and I have decided to ask for a new fighting game. I can't choose by myself, so I decided to ask everyone here. I can't decide between Marvel vs. Capcom 2 or Guilty Gear X2. I've played Marvel vs. Capcom in the arcade, it's really insane, but that's what makes it fun. I've never really played Guilty Gear but it's supposebly anime-like and I love anime. Does anybody have any opinions here?

You'll most likely get bored of MvC after awhile because of it's insane button-masher friendly gameplay. I'd go for GGXX, just to try something new

Indeed, go for GGXX...I've played the first and second, and they're good. Though if the finally boss is anything like Justice was....have fun (Justice is THE cheapest boss I've ever faced before)

I agree. Marvel VS Capcom 2 might be amazingly fun, but indeed, you'll get bored of it. I've seen screens of Guilty Gear X2 and it looks nice. But MVC2 looks very nice too. I say go for GG.

Marvel vs Capcom 2 doesn't get boring if you have people who know how to play to play with. It can appear to be a button masher but it actually has alot of depth. The huge cast of characters is a plus too.

I always love playing as Megaman or Spiderman, but I think I'm gonna go with Guilty Gear.

They are both good. Can't really go wrong.
When the new KOF comes out for PS2 it will be a good one to get.

Whoah whoah, back up...There's gonna be a new KOF game? SCHWING! All I ask is that Iori and Rock Howard are in it. WHo'd gonna be devloping the game since obviously, SNK went belly-up? Also today, I saw a Neo-Geo machine in a movie theater that had Two Metal Slug games, Garou: Mark of the Wolves (AKA Fatal Fury 4) and a Bust-a-groove game. I would have given my left arm for that machine, but then I wouldn't be able to play Garou

You could still play if you lost an arm! See...you can still play with only one arm!

Try and get Fighter Maker 2. Heh, it's old, but not that old.

I believe SNK is owned by Playmore now so they still make SNK games. Play some arcade emulators, great games.
I'm not sure which KOF is coming to PS2. They are also bringing Metal Slug 3 and I believe 4 to the PS2. They are both awesome. 3 is my favorite in the series.

Heh, love simulation games and one hand. That cracks me up. Anyway, I'd say go for Guilty Gear X2, because the screenshots I've seen looked pretty good.
