Check out this new action/adventure game from Blizzard! www.blizzard.com/ghostYou play as a ghost, one of the stealth units from the GREAT strategy game StarCraft. I'm looking forward to this game a lot! Hopefully with this style of game they should be able to create some great atmospheric battlefields that they couldn't really do with an RTS style game.

The only problem is that it's action/adventure multi-platform game, and those are usually disasterous. However, they are being relased seperatly (first Xbox version then Gamecube and PS2) and Blizzzard has never once made a crappy game, so it should be good.

Yeah, I think we can trust Blizzard. If they break my trust, then I can lob cat-filled boxes at their office!

Kamau, this is in no way new . . . Blizzard's first press release about Starcraft: Ghost, complete with screenshots, came out in August or September, I'm not sure when.
Yeah, it'll be sorta like MGS, you have the personell cloaking field and everything, including the psychic powers of a "ghost".
Wo0t. Still seems promising. And like CH said, Blizzard has never once made a crappy game.
Erm, excluding Starcraft 64, of course. ;D

Blizzard didn't make Starcraft 64. They made the original Starcraft, but developer Mass Media ported it for the N64.

Actually, a company called Nhilistic is doing most of the work, from what I hear. Blizzard is just producing it. Kind of like how Retore Studios developed Metroid Prime, but like, every week a buncha reps from Nintendo would stop by and make sure Retro wasn't screwing anythign up. But anyway, yeah, Ghost looks like it'll rule. I mean, you can use nukes. Nukes! Whoo!

SC:Ghost looks like crap.
Blizzard should stop wasting their time with it and hurry up and make World of Warcraft / WC3 expansion / SC2 / Diablo 3.

I never said it was new. Just said it sounded cool.
I think a Dynasty Warriors 3-style SC game would be great! Where you play as 1 man in a huge all-out war. Would be better than stealth stuff, not too keen on stealth (mainly because I'm crap at it).

This is something new for Blizzard, and it may be good. I'm not getting my hopes up, though. They say they will eventually create SC2, so I guess they wanted to experiment, as well as tell us the haven't forgotten about their futuristic strategy game that lots of people still play.

They're already making the WarCraft 3 expansion. It's coming out in June 2003. And World Of WarCraft is scheduled for early 2004, but will probably be moved to the summer of that year.

Riight. Now tell me where you heard of these release dates, so I can at least think that they have a chance of being real.

World of Warcraft Publisher: Blizzard Entertainment Developer: Blizzard Entertainment Genre: Role-Playing Release Date: 1/1/2004
That was at Gamespot. And the Warcraft 3 Expansion date just makes sense, that's what Blizzzard has done with all thier other expansions.

I'm going to cheat through hard mode on WC3 to watch the Starcraft 2 Trailer. It's too hard to complete on hard without cheats. But I'll make sure I skip the story parts, hate to ruin my new game.

I don't know how many times I've heard that . . . It's NOT a Starcraft 2 trailer, it's just starcraft units in the WC3 engine. You can see WC2 units in the WC3 engine after beating the game in normal, if I remember correctly.
It's just marines fighting hydralisks/zerglings, then "space orcs", or orcs in space suits will come along and fight the marines. Whomever wins gets blown up by a sheep. Cause' sheep rock.
[End Spoiler]
