Yeah, I know I already made a topic about this a while back. Shoot me.
Has anyone else bothered to pick up this game? I did, and found a charming game. It might be a little to battle oriented for some of you, but it definately has the most fun TRPG battles I have ever played. With charming characters, fun battles, and sometimes hilarious dialogue, it's a game I would definately recommend at least a rental.
Opinions?

..One of the best games I've ever played on the PS2. Not for the faint of heart though; it can be frustarting and rather hard at times.
What's so great about all of it, is that it's a game that doesn't take itself seriously, and that makes it so much more enjoyable; to me at least.

I rented it a while back, it was a really fun game. The battles were fun and the character creation system was pretty good aswell. The dialog was good and the voice acting mostly fit the characters. It got a 4/5 on Extended Play, so I'm guess most gamers would enjoy it.

How far did you guys get in it?
I'm currently on Episode 11, and find myself very underleveled ^_^
That's my only gripe of this game so far, sometimes the difficulty forces you to go back and level up a bit more than I would like (though, I guess it is pretty easy if you know what you're doing)

I didn't think it was difficult until the last battle of Episode 11. Unless you are either at lot higher in levels than me or are able to find a strategy that I haven't, you'll most likely get bum rushed too ^_^

I got it recently, and love it. I don't think I'm training enough though, as Vyers is kicking I disagree. T.T

yeah, vyers WILL do that on your first encounter. just train your characters (esp laharl) for a bit then during your battle, take out the geoblocks first so the mage and archer becomme weaker.

Heh, actually, I beat him last night by picking up the archer and mage and throwing them at other enemies, then sticking MY mages on the tiles. Turned out quite well for me

hmmm... i guess that works too i guess...... you'll be facing mid boss several times later on. he won't be as hard as the first encounter but he still packs a punch so be careful. oh yeah, you get a secret ending whenever vyers beats you.
