It was...ok I guess. It kept me entertained for an hour or so, but still could be better.

I thought it was pretty good. There'll be a sequel, I assume?

Yeah. That may explain why Lunar was so disgrunted, because he isn't in it, be he will be in the next one. I'm probably going to chop it into three. The first one is quite short, but the sequel should have a few more hours of gameplay.

Hah, do you give my characters horrible, gruesome deaths At least the first one, he just kinda disappeared.

Well, it was good, though some things didn't seem to fit correctly, like the music of Red Phoenix's trial really didn't fit with the scene in my opinion, some parts of a few cutscenes were a bit fast too, but maybe that's just me.

I just played the game recently, it was very pleasing to me, I hope to see a sequel perhaps? Sometime.

I do not believe the views of these sycophants accurately reflects the game. I am sorry to say that that was a bad game.
It took me several attempts to stick with the game, but I played through to the end just so I could offer this criticism without my opinions being rejected. I hope BMZ takes my comments on board for future projects.
My first impression of the game was not a good one. The graphics felt lazy, in particular Michael Faust's sprite and the intro text - these could have been a great deal better with almost no more effort. As has been mentioned, the mapping was not very impressive. I am aware that the aesthetics of an RPG are not always the crucial attribute, but they are necessary to set any game apart from the masses of RM2k games in the community. Yet, these qualities are forgivable, not everyone can be an excellent mapper/pixel artist (I did like Gauss' monster sprite however). Now what made this game a disappointment was the story - clichéd and predictable. It seems that a rushed story has been mistaken for a short game. There was absolutely no character development in a plot sense, and too much in the way of gameplay. Levelling up happened after every couple of random encounters and after every boss - new skills coming into play every time. The game was not long enough to develop strategies, which was fine, since none were needed. It is clear that it was always intended to be a short game - I believe it was a mistake to try and condense what would pass as a typical RPG of say 10 hours into 1. The dialogue was adequate, although also felt condensed - something that would have been said in a brief conversation was reduced to just one comment which did not help with character development.

He couldn't do much with the story and characters, since it's based on a rp.

Hmm...what part of Michael's sprite was lazy? The one I was most unhappy with was Shamira's.
As for the images, I really should check what version Bloodrose put up, because one had some edits by Nunolac, plus I finally got Photoshop.
I'm well aware that some parts were quite cliched. As FK said, based on an RP, so not much I could do, though most were half a cliche (half the village burned, the bad guy DIDN'T die, and you may note that Red and Shamira were never blunt with their feelings).
I'm thinking of adding a few more enemies, but that area was supposed to be focused on 'real' monsters, like bugs and wolves. That way there's more strategies to plan out for fighting.
Thank you for your honesty, Max.

Inq and his bro have been known for their honesty... Of course Inquisitor puts it much more bluntly and sardonically. Haven't played it yet, but I haven't used RPG Maker in quite some time.

His hair is completely unshaded, along with his headband and his weapon.

Hmm...I didn't notice that bit. Most of happened when I transfered it to the battle charactersheet. The weapon was never shaded, as I felt it was too small to do.
