I need to know if Heaven Cycles CBS would work or not....can you's help? I will explain it as fully as I possibly can...
Basically, you only directy control one character. (Iriquis, Luda, Luke, or Dune, it depends on what point you are at in the story) There is 2 gauges for your character : The stamina gauge and the recovery gauge.
<<Stamina>>
Stamina, or SP, is my answer to the simple "run out of teh HPs and ur ded, leik, omg". It can range from negative infinity to positive 50. Every time you are attacked, you lose a set number of SP. If your SP falls below 0, the character is fatigued and cannot take action until SP is at least +1 (you recover 1 SP every turn, and when fatigued, you recover 1 SP every 2 seconds), you will be open to any attacks from the enemy.
But, what use is being attacked if you cant die, I hear you say? Simple. If your SP is, say, -30, and the enemy attacks you with an attack power of 20, your staminas new value is -50. Lets assume the enemy gets another turn when your stamina is -40. Thats your stamina dropped to -60. Eventually, your character will reach a state where they cannot recover completly before the enemy gets a chance to stike. This means that you will have to press the cancel button and choose surrender. THAT, my freinds, is how you die.
Now, onto the skills...
<<Aura>>
Aura, or AP, is shared amongst everyone in the battlefeild. It is used for skills. Instead of the traditional attack command seen in most, if not all, RPGs, Heaven Cycles will have two attack commands : Add and Subtract. If you want to increase the amount of Aura in the feild, choose Add. The advantages of this is that you will be able to use more skills, but so will the enemy. If you want to decrease the Aura, choose Subtract. You will shorten the amount of skills avalible for use, but you will also shorten the enemys.
This, I beleive, will add a great tactical element to the game. You must decide whether or not to bombard your enemy with skills, but risk having to surrender, or play it safe and stop your opponent using skills, but risk having no healing magic at your disposal if things get rough.
Your companions can either be ordered to Add, Subtract, or Heal during battle.
So...basically what im looking for is constructive critisism and comments/suggestions. Can you's do this for me?
