I'm not sure what you're talking about. You just make any old map on a 38x40 grid using the chipset I provided. Right, got it, thanks.

Extra details in the first post made. Just things I think Magikoopa failed to mention which made the competition a little vague.

People entering so far: * RPGMT * Neon Shadow * Oin * DMC * BMZ * Smaug * Cereal? * Zumbum More people join, please. Also, I've heard from a lot of people that they keep getting a chipset problem where there is a weird colour over the chipset when you try it use it. To stop this you IMPORT the chipset, press on the background colour to make it transparent and THEN use it. I can't believe some people still don't know how to do that.

Ah hell, I'm in. I'll try my best, though I suck quite a bit at map-making.

Does that work with any color!?! And charsets, other than chipsets!!?? [shadow=red,left,300];DSMAUG;D[/shadow]

That should fix the problem, but Thom set a correct transparency on the image... strange.

May I ask what the relevance of the in game shot is?

In my opinion the game shot is the important one. It presents the map as it is viewed by a gamer. The editor is all well and nice and everything, but a gamer wouldn't have to see everything on the map. Besides, there will be some places on the map where you need to place two upper tiles and the only way to do this is with events. The events don't show on the editor, but do in game.
Since RM2k has such a low resolution, viewing at 1/2 size doesn't drop the quality, but makes it a lot more stressful on the eyes to pick out the detail.
I don't understand the need for the editor view, but it's not my contest.
